I didn't put it there!

Hello there!

This is one of the 5 books I made for the teachers at Mikael's school. The story is so sweet! about how God created teachers, it's a touching story about a group of people who work so hard to give our children the best education.

The book was made from chipboard. I made a stencil for the pages from a digi journaling shape. The PP is cosmo cricket storytime, the edges were all inked.


The story was printed onto card, and matt onto cs. The brackets and arrows were cut from chipboard, covered with PP and inked, this was the longest part of the project 2 brackets per page so loads of brackets!! I put i-player on and caught up with some TV I'd missed because of work!


A few buttons from stash, bound with my BIA and funky fibres to finish!

I have no idea if any of the teachers liked them, but the c4e crop girls did!! lol

Take 1 sketch.... part 2!!

Well it's taken me a while but I'm back with the second part of Take 1 sketch!!! I used the fab sketch from Friday sketchers to make 7 cards in a hurry! You can see the first part of these HERE

The first card I made 2 of the same design for anniversaries. The PP are some K&co from my stash, CS from stash too.

The flowers were made by cutting out some flower shapes from PP pinching the petals and attaching a tea rose to the centre. I had to cut off the stem of the tea rose and squish it down a bit to make it fit ok. These roses are left over from my wedding stash! The leaves are punched using a Martha Stewart punch, Fond branch.

The image is a penny black stamp, coloured with watercolour paints.
The card is finished with glitter glue!

The last card was made for a friend of Mikael's birthday.

The PP is daisy bucket and the image is one of my digi stamps, Dino all of which can be bought at the C4E store.

This one opened out unlike the one above.

The dino is coloured with watercolour paints and everything has glitter glue! lol!!

Well that's one done and quite a few more to write!! lol

c4e sketch #43 Holiday!

Wow What a week!! We have had family visiting for the last week and it has been non-stop chat and coffee!! lol!! It's been great seeing my nan again, she came along to the crop on Sunday chatted with everyone, looked at all the gorgeous LO's and even managed 40 winks!! lol bless her!! Wednesday we had a visit from my uncle, aunt & cousins! Nan lives with them and they all came to the area for a camping holiday, only nan didn't like the idea of mud, spiders and outside loos!! She got to stay with my mum! nice and dry! lol!

So with all that going on I didn't spend much time working and didn't get time to catch up on my blog posts! I will have to catch up next week!

I was thinking of my aunt and uncle in their wet tent when I made my card! Bright summer colours as it's supposed to be summer but lovely tilda in the rain! Hasn't it been awful!! ok if your a duck!!

I have used the C4E August kit, sunkissed, to make my card, tilda is coloured with watercolour paints and just a 'touch' of glitter glue!!....ok a bit more than a touch but it is soooo pretty!! lol

I think I was a bit heavy handed with the colour on the umbrella this time and the red of her coat wasn't as red as I wanted, too pink!

c4e sketch #42 vintage

This week we are would like you to use a vintage theme along with our sketch! You can see the sketch and gorgeous DT cards HERE along with the sad news about DT member Cindy. Get well soon Cindy xxx and the names of the our 2 new team mates!! It took me a while to choose from all the fabulous submissions but I finally chose Suzette and Andie.

Today is our monthly crop so I will be busy scrapping, chatting, teaching and drinking coffee all day!! lol We are at Banwell Village hall in Somerset all day. This is the first crop in our new venue so lots more space and lots more work setting up but it will be fun!

Better tell you about my card!! This card was made for my lovely UKS team leader Pink Chocolate's birthday!

Materials are all from the C4E July kit. The image is one of the Gorjuss girl images Sarah (lil-paper-pixie) sent to me. I've coloured her with watercolour paints. I think the card has a 70's feel and guess that's vintage!! lol

I have distressed the edges quite a bit too.

Take 1 sketch....

....3 challenges and make 7 cards!!!! well I only have 4 to share today but what a fab sketch!!

The sketch is from Friday sketchers and I loved using it, once I'd done the first card and had a template the others just rolled off the craft mat!! lol

All the cards are for Mikael's teachers tomorrow, they are a fab bunch of people at his school. His class teacher Mr R. said he wanted to improve Mikael's writing skills this year and wow did he deliver!!! Mikael has done extremely well this year and has worked really hard.

The first card is for this week Papertake weekly challenge to use a combination of colours they gave. I went with yellow and green!

Materials are from stash, image is Tilda coloured with watercolour paints and glitter glue

I added lots of glitter glue to the PP to give it lots of twinkle!

The second card is for the Spoonful of Sugar challenge which asked for swirls on your cards.

I made my swirl by drawing round a chipboard swirl cutting out and inking the edges with white. The materials are all from stash. CS is Bazzill. Image is one of my digi stamps available in my store, called Butterfly Kisses. Coloured with watercolours. As before I added lots of glitter glue to the PP and image. Twinkly twinkle!!! lol!

The next card had an accident!! I drew round my template for the curved section of the card, only to find it was the wrong way round! so I added it to the inside instead.

Materials from stash. Image is Gorjuss girl from set 1 coloured with pencils. Lots of glitter glue again!!

And the last one for Mr R!! Materials are from stash, the image is another of my digi stamps called Gotch Ya! coloured with watercolours and......yep glitter glue!!! There is glitter glue on the PP too, shame the camera doesn't pick it up well.

The image is cut out with a label 3 nestie.

and there you go!! lol I have a few more posts waiting in the queue including the mini books I made for the teachers and the C4E challenges, yeah I know it's nearly August but it has gone manic here! Tomorrow my Nan arrives from Birmingham to visit for a week while my uncle and his family camp nearby, she doesn't know it yet but I have lots of jobs for her!! lol!!

c4e sketch #41

Woohoo!!! I'm getting all excited now! This time next week I will be at the c4e crop! we have moved to a new venue for July we will be at Banwell Village hall, Banwell. Somerset. If you fancy a day of scrapping and chat come along and join us. contact me for more details.

Of course there's a lot to do so it's going to be a busy week, and it's the last week of term too! so teacher pressies and cards to make too! phew! not sure I'm going to be seeing much of my bed this week!! lol!!

For my card I had a go at using "white space" again. Not my usual style for cards but it's always good to try something new!lol!

I have used MME papers from C4E and a gorjuss girl image coloured with pencils. The ribbon is from stash and CS is Bazzill.

For the bracket shape I printed a digi journal card cut out and used as a template.
