Mixed Media Christmas card #2

Hello :)
As promised I am back with the second Finnabair inspired Mixed Media Christmas card for this weeks Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge.

For the second card I used a selection of buttons, beads, lace, staples, plaster board tape, glass gems and metal chain.

As before everything was adhered to a piece of cardstock then covered with White Gesso before adding the colour.

The colours for this card were Dylusions Cut Grass and Black and gold Maya Gold paint.

For this card I used only ultra fine gold glitter and Inca Gold to finish it off.

Some of the paint peeled off the glass pieces which gives it a worn vintage feel.

I really enjoyed making these cards, next on the list is a layout using this technique!
Have a great day thanks for stopping by :)

Mixed Media Christmas card

Hello :)
It's Friday and time for a new Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge!
This week we would like you to share projects which feature

BUTTONS, BEADS and BLING

Our lovely sponsors this week are Crafty Sentiments Designs who are offering one randomly selected winner 3 digital stamps from their fabulous collection.
As always there is gorgeous inspiration from the fabulous DT girls too!
Hop over HERE for all the details.

Inspired by Finnabair I made 4 cards playing with beads, buttons, paint, ink and glitter.

I first added some torn book paper, buttons, beads, gems and a bottle cap to a piece of cardstock.
I then covered the whole piece with Gesso.

I really wanted to keep the white space on the card so instead of spraying the ink I used a paint brush to add it where I wanted it. This gave me much more control.
I used Maya Gold in Gold and  Dylusions Post box red and black.

When it was dry I added a mix of ultra fine glitter and some chunky gold glitter.

To finish I added a little Inca Gold in gold with a sponge over some of the raised areas.

I'll be back soon with my second card using this technique soon :)
Thanks for stopping by have a great weekend!

Good Morning :)
It's been a while but I'm back today with my Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe challenge project.
This weeks challenge is called
FURRY FRIENDS
and we would like you to share projects which feature a furry animal.
Our lovely sponsors Sassy Studio Designs are offering one randomly selected winner 4 images from their gorgeous collection and as always there is fabulous inspiration from the design team!
Hop over HERE for all the details, DT inspiration and entry.

My furry friend is a cute polar bear who has been in my collection forever!
He doesn't need much colouring but loves a little sparkle so he has had some twinkling H2O's added.

The background is very simple, just a few pieces of Washi tape, some cotton thread, ink splatters and a few sequins.

That's all from me today :) Thanks for stopping by I hope you will join us this week and share your favourite furry friends with us!
Have a great day

Good morning!
I've given in and put the Christmas CD on lol! The tree is still in the loft though! (for now !!)
This weeks Crafts 4 Eternity challenge is a colour recipe. We would like to see projects using the colours

RED GREEN and CREAM
My project this week is a layout :)
The papers are Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium.

I still need to journal on this one, do you have lots of un-journaled layouts? I seem to do that a lot, leave the journaling for one reason or another and then forget to add it lol!
These two Elves are my Blessing, I am so lucky to have two beautiful, kind....naughty boys! lol!

I've been using a lot of Tim Holtz diecuts recently! These are Caged Bird and Holly Branch. Love them!
I have inked them with Distress Inks and the Holly berries had a coat of Glossy Accents.

The kit for this layout is available HERE at Crafts 4 Eternity.

Hop over HERE to enter the challenge and be in with a chance to win one of 2 prizes from regular sponsors Digi Garden and Stamping All Day..........

I snagged one of the reindeer for my Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge card this week.

The challenge this week is to use the sketch above, we have a fab prize up for grabs from our kind sponsors Ladybug Crafts. One winner will win a choice of 2 fabulous Digital images from their wonderful collection.
Join us HERE for the challenge and see the gorgeous DT inspiration.

Not only did I snag the Reindeer this week I also snaffled the papers from next weeks crop kits! Sssh don't tell anyone lol!!
The papers are Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium and soooo gorgeous! I can't wait to make the inspiration layout with these!

I stamped the reindeer's bottom with some Gold Acrylic paint and a Prima flourish stamp, hope he doesn't mind :)
We have spent today at mum's helping to put up her enormous Christmas tree, amazing how many baubles fit onto that tree! The boys soon lost interest when we stopped them throwing the fir cones at the tree lol!
Have a fun weekend!

C4E Recipe challenge #47

 Hello everyone :)
Well I finally got my act together enough to complete this weeks DT entry lol! I've missed a couple of weeks with one thing and another, ho hum!!!
This weeks C4E recipe challenge is to make a Christmas decoration. There is a fabulous prize up for grabs from Crafty Ribbons and as always gorgeous inspiration in the DT gallery.
You can join us HERE for this weeks challenge.

This decoration was made for last month C4E Crop Class. I have used Tim Holtz dies (Caged Bird & Elegant Flourishes)

The cage was stamped with a script stamp and gold acrylic paint. The Robin was coloured with Distress inks and finished with Cinnamon Stickles.

Red and Gold are not my Christmas colours so I made a second one in blue and silver.

I just need a purple one now lol!
Have a great weekend
