C4E Recipe #15 - Embellishment Recipe

Good Morning :)
It's been a strange week here, DH started a new job on Monday which was great! Sadly it meant he had to stay away from home all week :( He will be home tonight YAY! :D I'm looking forward to my hug :)
This week over on the Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge blog we have an embellishment recipe for you.
As always the DT Gallery is gorgeous.....and we have a fab prize up for grabs! Hop over to the C4E Blog to enter.
I'll warn you now there are lots of pics in this post! lol! You may want to grab a cuppa and let the dog out ;)

This was made for my mum for Mothers Day. In my haste to get this finished I forgot one of the challenge requirements! Whoops sorry :( I had intended to add the charm but totally forgot.

I saw a lot of twisted easel cards entered for R#8 (February) and had to have a go!
I have added the easel card on to a drawer box.

I have used beautiful papers from the Sweet Owl pad again. Wild orchid flowers and Tim Holtz Bird cage die cut painted with Adirondack Paint dabbers.

The little owl is one of my Digital stamp sets (Owls) coloured with Copics. One of my browns ran out whilst colouring this in :( Will have to get a refill. I have added Stickles to finish off the image.

Here's the doily!

Inside the drawer I added a quote sticker from my stash, a wild orchid flower and a little feather.

To complete the gift I found a mini chipboard photo frame in my stash which I painted and added DP's to. This was still drying when I gave it to mum lol! The photo is my mum and her mum.
There did you make it to the end? I should let the dog back in now and hop over to the C4E blog before he needs to go out again lol!
I am cropping this weekend YAY! I have a fun Button workshop prepared (almost!) and gorgeous goodies to scrap with :) Hopefully the sun will shine so we can lunch in the carpark....yes we really do that lol!
Have a great weekend!
Thanks for stopping by

crafts 4 eternity recipe challenge #30

Hello everyone!
It's been a beautiful week here in Somerset! So glad it's Friday though! And of course time for another Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe challenge. Scoot over HERE to see the challenge and beautiful DT Gallery.
I was a little late getting my card done this week I couldn't decide which film title to use!! lol! I also lost my craft desk for a couple of days this week too! No not under a pile of paperwork or ironing lol! My youngest munchkin took over my craft desk and I wasn't allowed to clear up until he was finished!
The film title I finally chose is my mum's favourite film "It's a wonderful life" The image I've used has little to do with the actual film except that all she could remember about the film at one point was that there was a white rabbit??
My piece of corrugated card is the bottom layer of the flower.
The image is one of my digi stamps which are available HERE. It's called Butterfly Kisses. I've coloured the image with copics and cut out using a circle nestie.
What to see the munchkin at work???
I really need to tidy up in here!! Who could resist this cutie??? lol!!!
Thanks for stopping by take care!

hubby's birthday!

Hello again!
It was hubby's birthday on Saturday and I was stuck for images for his cards, poor love has had all my stamps and digis!! lol! so I drew one specially and have called the cute guy Clive after hubby! not sure if he thinks this is a compliment or not !! lol!!
I've used the sketch from the C4E recipe challenge HERE. Really quick sketch to work with.

I have coloured the image with coloured pencils, i didn't wait long enough for the ink to dry, whoops! It was too late in the night to be making a noise with the heat gun!

He still needs some work me thinks, he could work well for Christmas too, maybe add a Santa hat and change the patterns on the presents???? will have to have a play.
The sentiment is one of the c4e DT girls, Suzette's new sentiment stamps and this weeks prize on the c4e recipe challenge. I liked how I could use a sentiment designed for Christmas for a birthday!

card recipe
PP - K&co
CS - Bazzill

PTW challenge

Evening !!
I got a little stuck this week for images for my hubby's birthday cards, so I drew a couple of new images. They still need some work but I find it helps to use them to see if they will work first.
I have done this card for this weeks PTW challenge, they have a fab sketch and gorgeous DT work which you can find HERE

I tried some paper piecing with the image, the cupcake case is basic grey PP and the cupcake is felt! I coloured a second candle and added it with sticky fixers to lift it up.
The second technique i tried with this card is the ruffled paper. I saw a tutorial for a cupcake gift holder HERE which used the technique to create a whipped cream effect on the cupcake. I have seen this done with ribbon before but haven't tried it before.

card recipe
PP - basic grey & paper pizazz
CS - Bazzill
felt - £1 shop!
image - own
sentiment - computer generated
glitter glue
coloured pencils
I'm off to party! lol! we have family coming over for hubby's birthday soon! Strawberry gateaux!! Yummy!!
I'll be back tomorrow with the C4E recipe challenge!
Thanks for stopping by

Can't believe I managed to miss posting these cards for Friday sketchers! someday it will all slot into place and life will once again run smoothly......here's hoping anyway!! lol!!!
You can see this weeks Friday sketchers challenge HERE!!

The first card used a sketch from a Friday sketchers challenge and features Teen Lexi from the Teen collection digi stamps HERE The PP is K&co sparkly sweet. Both the sentiment and Diva spot were computer generated. Ribbon from stash.

I used coloured pencils to colour Lexi and mounted her on Bazzill CS.

The second card is similar to the card I made this week for Friday sketchers. I used a Friday sketchers sketch, K&co Hopscotch PP, ribbon from stash and computer generated sentiment.

The image is Teen Mike from the teen collection digi stamps again, coloured with water colour paints.

c4e recipe challenge #4

Hello!
This weeks recipe has been posted on the c4e blog, on time this week! lol!!
Hop over HERE to see the fab DT work using the new c4e Halloween digi stamps! stunning work girls!
This weeks recipe is:
1. use the sketch
2. use orange & black
3. use a Halloween image
Here is my card and a little treat bag to go with it!!
The PP are Basic grey Eerie, CS is from the papermill and papermania.
Hand stitching using Aida threads in back stitch.
The image I used is one of the Halloween cupcake's digi stamps, which are available HERE.
Coloured with watercolour paints and then I tried some glossy accents over the top. I couldn't get a good shot to show the accents, not sure it was worth it to be honest. The CS wrinkled and the effect is minimal.
Oh well will just have to keep playing! lol!

The 3 pumpkins is an image from the pumpkin set, printed in 2 different sizes, coloured with watercolours again and glossy accents. The effect on these was better, unfortunately couldn't get a good shot to share.

For the little treat bag, and it really is little! I used an ATC poly bag to hold the sweets. The topper is 2 sizes of labels nesties with an extra layer of white cs between them, folded in half. The image is one of the new 'spots' I am working on. The image has been coloured with watercolour paints and finished with glitter glue.
Thanks for stopping by, don't forget to check out this weeks challenge there is another set of Halloween images up for grabs!
take care
hugs

c4e recipe challenge #3

Hello!!

Hope you had a great weekend! It's been a bit hectic here the last week, seems like I haven't drawn breath all week!! lol! I was a bit late getting this week c4e recipe challenge posted (sorry) Hopefully it's worth the wait!!

This week we have a fun set of Halloween digi stamps up for grabs.....
These are available in the c4e store HERE

This weeks recipe is......

1. use the sketch

2. use felt
3. include a cat or cats.
Hop over to the C4E blog HERE to see the gorgeous DT cards and challenge.
I have used the cupcake cat from the digi stamp set, basic grey eerie papers, felt, one of the new c4e spots, cardstock from stash, funky foam, MS doily border punch, ribbon from stash, brads from cropodile kit.

The image has been coloured with watercolour paints. I have added funky foam detail (nose & ears) I wanted felt for this but didn't have the right colour! Finished with a little glitter glue.

Over the last month I have been working on a new product range for C4E called spots. Spots are a range of journaling, image and word spots. These will be available as pdf downloads and printed cardstock products. I have also started to add them to kits! The October kit and October crop kit both have some in. The great thing about these spots is that I am able to match colours to the kits!

If you would like to try some out there is a free try me sheet HERE!!!

Thanks for stopping by, again apologies for the delays this week!
hugs
