Hugs

Hello!
A bit later than planned but here is the bind-it-all project I taught at the C4E crop this month.

The finished project is about 15" x 6" in size.

There was a lot of fiddly cutting out to do!!

The quote I found thanks to google!
The project was finished off with glossy accents and gems.
Have a great evening thanks for stopping by!

I didn't put it there!

Hello there!
This is one of the 5 books I made for the teachers at Mikael's school. The story is so sweet! about how God created teachers, it's a touching story about a group of people who work so hard to give our children the best education.
The book was made from chipboard. I made a stencil for the pages from a digi journaling shape. The PP is cosmo cricket storytime, the edges were all inked.

The story was printed onto card, and matt onto cs. The brackets and arrows were cut from chipboard, covered with PP and inked, this was the longest part of the project 2 brackets per page so loads of brackets!! I put i-player on and caught up with some TV I'd missed because of work!

A few buttons from stash, bound with my BIA and funky fibres to finish!

I have no idea if any of the teachers liked them, but the c4e crop girls did!! lol
Have a great day!

c4e june kit project

When I saw the C4E June kit I immediately thought it was perfect for this Family planner that I had been thinking of doing. You can still get the June kit, Home Bird HERE.
The planner basically consists of 2 single layouts, a back cover and a lot of printed planner sheets, all bound together with a BIA. I used a Microsoft works spreadsheet to create a weekly planning sheet that suited out family.
Extra materials needed in addition to the kit are: 12x12 chipboard sheets, white cardstock, sewing threads, beads, pegs and BIA wire.

I have used the same 4 photographs on both the outside cover and the inside LO. The title was printed, then pierced holes and sewed using back stitch. Using the Bracket shaped paper in the kit I made a template to use on the front cover so they would match. I have sewn around the edge of the bracket shape using zig-zag stitch (by hand!).

Inside the planner is the second LO which will be on display. I have hand stitched (back stitch) around the edge of the bracket PP and the tree design, adding the occasional bead in.

I printed about 50 weekly planner sheets to include. I am hoping that when they run out I will be able to open the wires and add some more!

At the bottom I added 2 pegs with diecut shapes on, to hold little notes and letters. They are attached with superglue so should stay put!! lol

The final result is a unique family planner, made to suit our family needs!! It's kind of tucked away by a cupboard, but that is where my "command centre" is in the kitchen!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

hello
I hope you have all had a good week. I have had the usual busy filled week!!LOL I promised a while ago to post pics of the FIL card and Father's day cards.... bit late but here they are...

I got a bit carried away with the stamping on this card and I think I over did it a bit. You can't see the #70 on the tag for all the stamping. I just don't know when to stop sometimes...LOL! All the materials are from my stash, paper mania I think!
This card was for my DH for fathers day. I used digi papers again!!!LOL It was a freebie download called "father's day sampler" from "here a scrap there a scrap" They are not in my links yet, i will get around to updating that soon!!
This card is for my nephews 6th birthday (04/07/08). the papers are Cosmo Cricket's Story time. Fab papers to use, i did another birthday card with them to add to my stash. I was a bit reluctant to cut into these as they are sooo lovely!!!LOL but I took a deep breath and did it!!

These are 2 ATC's I did this week too. Based on the mini butterfly book I made last month. All that glitter... I couldn't help myself, just had to make some more!!!LOL
So that is the crafty makes for this week, still more to do this month, always the way you get one batch done and there is more to do!! But I love it, I'd be lost without my crafting.
Take care everyone

Birthday mini book 2

Hello,

This is the second mini book I made for my sisters birthday, using the BIA. This project was a little more tricky. I wanted the binding rings to represent the butterflies body and lots of sparkle, it's nice to use glitter for something other than christmas. There was glitter everywhere, even the cats got some!!LOL

The shape of the butterfly was done using a heart template I printed of my computer, I took the point of the bottom and traced onto card. I used some small pieces of K&co paper across the middle of each wing then drew the flourish on in pencil. For the cover wings I used PVA glue over my pencil lines and glitter. I did this in stages so the glue wouldn't dry out while I was still applying it. For the inside wings I used a whispers pen to go over the pencil lines the rubbed them out. The book is full of butterfly and sister quotes, which I printed out and matt and layered onto card. They are attached with sticky fixers. Inside the book are teabag butterflies. I folded these and glittered the wing tips so they would twinkle. Finally some wire for the antenna and ribbon tied to the binding rings finished off the book. I made a separate tag to write my birthday wishes on too. Here it is....

I will post the quotes and poems I have used for the last few projects next time.

FIL's birthday next, some challenges and father's day to come, I have managed to make one card for my FIL and matching ATC's for the Papertake challenge this week so I will have to get them photographed and posted soon. Take care everyone, thanks for looking

Birthday mini book 1

Hello
I finally got my hands on a BIA and used my sisters birthday as a excuse to try it out! Me thinks I will be doing a lot more with this new toy!!LOL
The card/book below was for my sister from my mum. Inside is the poem "don't quit". The papers are some old K&co papers from my stash, the stamped greeting is a new stamp I got free with a magazine sub. You will probably see it a lot at the mo!!! any way here it is....

Thanks for looking, take care
