Oh Yeah! ~ C4E June Feature Layout

Good Morning :)
Today I am back with the June feature layout ~ Oh Yeah!
The Oh Yeah! Page Kits are available in the store HERE.

I used a 4x6" portrait photo of DS2 taken a few years ago at a school sports day.
I love capturing cheeky character photos of the boys, I'd rather have a silly pose which shows off their character than a forced photo with sulky faces!

The photo is very bold and needed very little to make it pop on the page, it does that all by itself!
I created a central cluster of pattern papers behind the photo and added fussy cut paint strips from the What a Blast paper underneath. You could add these painty strips using paints.

I have added some of the gorgeous Page Flags from the kit to add more layers before adding the embellishments.

I created 3 embellishment clusters using Bradz from the Page Kit, Enamel Dots and Sprinkles from the Add-On kit. The phrase/ word and title stickers are from my stash.
And there you have it one fun cheeky layout celebrating DS2's character.

Have a fabulous Saturday thanks for stopping by!

On to my project this week :)
I made a card and match gift bag for my mums birthday this week.
The Digital element is...
My new digital stamp! I drew "A Balanced Diet" especially for my mum and is Nella balancing cupcakes.

I've coloured Nella with Copics and a little Stickles, the DP's are Basic Grey and Tim Holtz

For the gift bag I altered a paper bag using Tim Holtz papers and a larger image of Nella, again coloured with Copics.

This Digital stamp will be available in the C4E Store very soon.

A Stitch in Time

 Hello everyone  :)
Well I don't know where this heat wave is lol ! It's certainly not here in my little corner of the UK today!
I have a new layout to share today  :)
This layout is for this months page kit available HERE
and features beautiful My Minds Eye papers from the Lost and Found 2 Collection.

The layout documents the story of how both my mum and I were bought our first sewing machines by our Grandads. History repeating itself.
I have written the story on the back of the layout.
I have used a mixture of American Crafts Glitter Thickers and Crate Paper Toybox Alphas for my title.
The chipboard diecut cotton reel and canvas diecut dress form are both in the kit. I have used Distress ink to colour them and over stamped on to the dress form for some added detail.
I made a selection of flags and even used the little sample strips from the branding strip on the bottom of the paper !!
The "A Stitch in Time " kit and these gorgeous papers are all available from the C4E Store now.
Thanks for stopping by have fun!

The image if from LOTV coloured with Distress inks. I'm a bit out of practise with my colouring :( Still not sure about blonde hair lol!

C4E Recipe #15 - Embellishment Recipe

Good Morning :)
It's been a strange week here, DH started a new job on Monday which was great! Sadly it meant he had to stay away from home all week :( He will be home tonight YAY! :D I'm looking forward to my hug :)
This week over on the Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge blog we have an embellishment recipe for you.
As always the DT Gallery is gorgeous.....and we have a fab prize up for grabs! Hop over to the C4E Blog to enter.
I'll warn you now there are lots of pics in this post! lol! You may want to grab a cuppa and let the dog out ;)

This was made for my mum for Mothers Day. In my haste to get this finished I forgot one of the challenge requirements! Whoops sorry :( I had intended to add the charm but totally forgot.

I saw a lot of twisted easel cards entered for R#8 (February) and had to have a go!
I have added the easel card on to a drawer box.

I have used beautiful papers from the Sweet Owl pad again. Wild orchid flowers and Tim Holtz Bird cage die cut painted with Adirondack Paint dabbers.

The little owl is one of my Digital stamp sets (Owls) coloured with Copics. One of my browns ran out whilst colouring this in :( Will have to get a refill. I have added Stickles to finish off the image.

Here's the doily!

Inside the drawer I added a quote sticker from my stash, a wild orchid flower and a little feather.

To complete the gift I found a mini chipboard photo frame in my stash which I painted and added DP's to. This was still drying when I gave it to mum lol! The photo is my mum and her mum.
There did you make it to the end? I should let the dog back in now and hop over to the C4E blog before he needs to go out again lol!
I am cropping this weekend YAY! I have a fun Button workshop prepared (almost!) and gorgeous goodies to scrap with :) Hopefully the sun will shine so we can lunch in the carpark....yes we really do that lol!
Have a great weekend!

C4E Recipe Challenge #6 - Colour Recipe

Hello everyone:)
I hope you are all well :) I's sorry for not getting round to visit blogs recently it's been a manic week here with birthday parties, computer viruses, broken shoes and all sorts lol!
We have a new recipe for you over on the C4E challenge blog this week is a colour recipe and we would like you to take inspiration from this yummy photo!

mmmmmm! love cupcakes!
My card this week is very simple as it's for hubby. He's not in to lots of fussy stuff on cards lol!

I printed some word art onto Bazzill Kraft cardstock added pink and brown cardstock, sewing, ribbon, charm and rose and I couldn't resist finishing it off with some Stickles although I think it probably would have been better without lol!
I've added lots of products to the sale section of the C4E website this week and there is 25% off selected signature kits too!
Have a great weekend!

c4e September ABC challenge

Hello just a quick catch up post to share this challenge ATC with you.
The C4E September challenges are now uploaded to the website, actually they were done the first week of September but I am behind!!! On a good note I have completed the ABC ATC set!! YAY!!! but you only get to see one a month!! lol!!
This month is the letter H you can make any project featuring something beginning with the letter H or as I have done the actual letter.
I have used the WRM monograms available HERE I have inked the letter with a whispers brown inkpad, matt onto Barkley Bazzill CS. The little buttons are from my stash.
For the background I stamped using THIS stamp ( hampton arts ATC 2) onto some WRM urban window PP which is available HERE I have given it a watercolour wash of brown to distress it a little and inked the edges.

The butterfly is an Autumn Leaves, Rhonna Farrer stamp. I have stamped onto some of the WRM PP cut out, inked and curled the wings. It was attached with double sided tape to keep it quite flat, and finished with a knotted ribbon.
Phew!! There was a lot to this little piece of art!! LOL!!!
Time to get some work done I think! Do check out the challenges on the C4E website there are prizes up for grabs too!!!
thanks for stopping by have a good Monday!
