3x4" Mini Concertina Album

Good Morning :)
After I had made a layout and decorated my planner using the August Page kit I found I had a number of gorgeous 3x4" journal cards left over from the 12x12" sheet. I wanted to use them but not in the usual way (layout, card or planner) so I made a quick mini concertina album.
It was super quick to make and in addition to the lovely journal cards I added a little left over paper, die cuts and stickers and now have a cute mini about my boys.

I cut a 4x12" strip of white cardstock, then scored and folded it at 3" intervals to make 8 spaces to add photos and journaling.

I kept the embellishments flat so it wouldn't bulk out too much.

The photos are some random photos of each of the boys ....

..... including our newest boy Marley

These journal cards were just too pretty to sit in my stash!

Have you got your August Page kit yet?
Grab your HERE while stocks last.

Thanks for stopping by have a lovely weekend

August Planner Decorating

Good Morning :)
I am back today to share my August Planner decorating.
I don't always get chance to decorate my weekly pages but I do like to spend some time decorating the monthly pages and the pockets.

This month I have used the C4E August kit to decorate my Carpe Diem work planner.

I didn't go too mad this month, I used some of the pretty floral paper, a few die cuts and a little washi tape.

I popped a few die cuts and journal cards in to the front pockets long with a couple of cute paper clips. I need to make some paper clips I really don't have enough!
I love the little gnome peeking out of the bottom pocket.

I really liked the journal cards in this months kit so I made a cute dashboard using one.

So that's my work planner decorating this month, I will be back soon with a cute mini album using up some left overs from the August kit.

I'm off to lie in the grass and wish on dandelions!
Thanks for stopping by have a great weekend!

Layout - Home Grown

Good Morning :)
Today I am sharing my August Page kit layout - Home Grown.
All the kit details can be found on the post below and kits are available from HERE

Unusually for me there is no mixed media on this layout! The gorgeous papers and embellishments were just gorgeous on their own.

The star of this layout is my youngest son, Alix. A couple of years ago his Nana gave him a few seed potatoes to plant in the garden. A few months later with the help of Daddy, Alix had a good crop of potatoes.

The die cuts were used to create a focal cluster next to the photo, some were raised on foam dots to add dimension.

Two more smaller clusters were added to keep the balance of the layout.

The Title stickers are from the August Add on kit and the cute gnome was fussy cut from one of the journal cards in the kit.

I added a journal card for the journaling which I will write later (I don't like my handwriting lol!)

So that is my August layout, I had enough kit left to decorate my planner and make a cute mini album!
I will be back soon with my August Planner decorating and mini album.

How many projects can you squeeze out of a page kit?

Have a great week thanks for stopping by
Michele :)
