He's Behind You!!

This months c4e crop was Halloween themed! We had spooky cupcakes and pumpkin muffins! Yummy!
My Layout for the girls was made to encourage them to think differently about the embellishments that we use on our layouts. There are a lot of fabulous products available to scrapbookers and I wanted to remind the girls of one of the basics of scrapbooking, collecting memorabilia. I save everything, I have plastic wallets, tins, boxes and all sorts of containers holding memorabilia from weddings, days out, holidays etc. Maybe one day I will get to those LO's!! lol!! To help the girls on their way I put together a kit which included some Halloween items that they might save from Halloween, a plastic creepy crawly and some faux spiders web, things that you might buy to decorate for your Halloween celebrations, but work well on LO's.
The PP in the kit was 2 sheets of MME Boo to you collection, monster mash and frightful friends. They also had 2 sheets of Bazzill, I didn't include a sheet of black as not everyone is comfortable using white and black as their base CS. Also included were some new products from C4E, Spots! There was a journaling spot, word spots and date spot. You can download a free trial of these HERE!

For my title I used MME Halloween chipboard alpha and glitter thickers from the C4E October kit HERE

These are the word and date spots! The spiders web was stretched across the LO and attached with some DS tape under embellishments, tucked under corners and letters and stuck with sellotape on to the back! The Border at the bottom of the LO was made with a MS border punch, must check the name of that! lol!
Behind the word spot is a circle of felt, which has been "fluffed" a little.
I will be back with the spooky multi media pumpkin album we made and photos of the girls LO's soon! Thanks for stopping by take care!

c4e recipe challenge #4

Hello!
This weeks recipe has been posted on the c4e blog, on time this week! lol!!
Hop over HERE to see the fab DT work using the new c4e Halloween digi stamps! stunning work girls!
This weeks recipe is:
1. use the sketch
2. use orange & black
3. use a Halloween image
Here is my card and a little treat bag to go with it!!
The PP are Basic grey Eerie, CS is from the papermill and papermania.
Hand stitching using Aida threads in back stitch.
The image I used is one of the Halloween cupcake's digi stamps, which are available HERE.
Coloured with watercolour paints and then I tried some glossy accents over the top. I couldn't get a good shot to show the accents, not sure it was worth it to be honest. The CS wrinkled and the effect is minimal.
Oh well will just have to keep playing! lol!

The 3 pumpkins is an image from the pumpkin set, printed in 2 different sizes, coloured with watercolours again and glossy accents. The effect on these was better, unfortunately couldn't get a good shot to share.

For the little treat bag, and it really is little! I used an ATC poly bag to hold the sweets. The topper is 2 sizes of labels nesties with an extra layer of white cs between them, folded in half. The image is one of the new 'spots' I am working on. The image has been coloured with watercolour paints and finished with glitter glue.
Thanks for stopping by, don't forget to check out this weeks challenge there is another set of Halloween images up for grabs!
take care

c4e september mini book challenge

Oh my word I just found this post sitting in the drafts!!! This is my September mini book for the C4E website challenges!!! And I know I have at least 2 challenge card posts that I have missed! How bad am I??? LOL!!
Ok This mini book will document My eldest primary school years, so it is not complete yet!
The photo on the front cover was taken at pre-school.
The PP is daisy bucket's In The Meadow collection, this was the C4E April kit this year. You can still get your hands on these papers and the April kit HERE.

The layout of the album is the same all the way through. The first page will have a photo of the school, when I remember to take my camera!! Then there is a photo page for first day in the year photo, an envelope for school reports.

And then a page to record the details, year, class, friends, favourite subjects, achievements. This page I designed myself to look like a page from a note book with teachers handwriting.

I kept the embellishments simple, I created a image spot using a clip art owl and used them with punched leaves to embellish the photo pages. There's one peeking out from behind the photo too!! These were coloured with markers.

All titles and words were printed. The Base pages were made from white CS and covers are chipboard.

When the pages were complete I bound it together with my BIA. Adding a charm to the spine.

The very last pages are for the end of year 6, I plan to take a photo on his last day and write in where he is heading to next, what his hopes and fears are as he moves onto the next stage.

I couldn't resist one last peeking owl on the back cover!! lol!!

All I need to do now is remember to take the photos and write in the album! With my track record.....ummmmm!!!!!????? lol!!!
Oh and make one for Alix, who starts reception next September!! and 2 for my friend who insists that she has to have them but couldn't possibly make them herself!! lol!!
Thanks for stopping by

This weeks recipe is......

1. use the sketch

2. use felt

c4e recipe challenge #1

Hello
Sorry I'm a bit late with today's c4e challenge post, I haven't been feeling well the last few days :(
Today we started a new style of challenge over on the c4e blog. Each week we will be posting a RECIPE for you to follow. We will still have the popular sketches but will now post 2-3 other ingredients to go with the sketch. We will also have more prizes!!! YAY!!!
This weeks recipe is:
1.Use the sketch
2.use a punch
3. add a knot or bow
The prize this week is a little cardmakers goody bag! To be in with a chance to win you will need to include all of the recipe ingredients in your project. The challenge is still open to anyone anywhere and all types of craft, cards, layouts, digital etc.
Hop over to the c4e blog to see the beautiful DT work!!!

For my card I have used some beautiful Basic Grey PP from the Sultry and Sugared collections. CS is Bazzill, ribbon from stash and printed sentiment.

I have used a 1" circle punch to cut out the CS buttons, attached a smaller circle of PP then added a couple of holes with a brad tool. To finish I knotted some ribbon through them.
The sentiment was punched with a circle punch.

The butterfly is an Autumn Leaves stamp, stamped onto CS cut out and inked. Before attaching to the card I added a couple of pearl branches for antenna. Finished with liberal amounts of glitter glue.

The image is a Beatrix Potter stamp called mice in shoes (will be available in the c4e store next week) I have coloured it with watercolour paints and glitter glue!!
I used the circle punch on all the corners of the image, PP and CS (must get some nice corner punches!)
The C4E October kit will be released this week! A little late but I hope worth the wait!! It has PP from MME, glitter thickers, prima stamp, maya road album, paper flowers, ribbon, brads, beads, gems, fabric........yummy!!! Hopefully I will get to play with it today!!
