C4E Recipe #15 - technique / theme

Hello everyone :)
Happy Easter!
Wow this week has just flown by! I haven't got much done at all this week with the boys home and DH away.
We have a new recipe for you to follow on the the C4E challenge blog. This week we would like you to make your own buttons! I have had a lot of fun making buttons for last weeks crop workshop. My favourites have to be the Clay ones. If you would like a couple of ideas for making your own buttons visit the C4E Cafe Blog HERE

My project this week is a layout about DH's New Job. This was also the crop layout, there are a few kits left and will be uploaded to the C4E website soon.

I have layered lots of ribbon, shapes and trim around the layout, with a few words about my feelings about this big change in our lives.

The button is made from Air dry clay and coloured with Distress ink to match the layout. One of the great things about making your own buttons is that you can match them perfectly to your project.

I love the uniqueness of handmade buttons each one is different and they retain the handmade quality of the project. They are not perfect just like my work lol!
The DT girls have some gorgeous examples for you as always please do check out their blogs for more button ideas.
Have a fabulous weekend of sunshine and blessing :)
Michele :)
