C4E sketch #34

Hello
Hope you are all enjoying the glorious weather!!
It's time for the weekly sketch challenge on the C4E blog again but before I go on about that I should tell you that the C4E June kit will be released tomorrow!!!
This week we are asking you to use purples and lilacs on your cards. Check out the sketch and gorgeous DT cards HERE
For my card this week I have used one of the Gorjuss girl stamps. I dug out the sewing machine again and had a go at sewing on the card??? The sewing on the circle was supposed to be a single line of stitching nice and neat.... ok so I can't sew in a straight line and now I know I can't do a neat circle either!!! LOL It worked out ok in the end though I think it looks better.

The image is coloured with watercolour paints, H2O's and markers. The little cat was added using the masking technique.
There's a lot of distressing on this card so I distressed the flower to match.
That's all for me I have a June kit to play with!!!
Have a great Sunday hope the sun is shining where you are!!!
thanks for stopping by

c4e sketch #33

I really can't believe how quick this week has gone!!
Over on the C4E challenge blog we have a new sketch, additional challenge and....... a prize!!! To celebrate the launch of the new Teen collection digital stamps we are asking you to share your teen cards using this weeks sketch. The prize is the whole collection of 8 digital stamps for one lucky random winner.
The new collection characters are called "Mike" and "Lexi" after my eldest son and his new "girlfriend" !!!! he's only 7 bless him lol!!!
Check out the challenge and the stunning cards from the DT HERE
This is the collection, which will be available to buy from the c4e store today.
For my card this week I have used "lexi" coloured with pencils, markers and watercolour paints. The pattern paper is from Crate paper's Lilian collection which is part of the c4e June kit. The ribbon is Bazzill gingham also for the June kit.

I tried something different with this card, instead of layering up I cut away!! I cut out an aperture in the pattern paper added a thin cardstock border to the back of the aperture and mounted onto the green backing cardstock. The cut away paper I mounted onto pink cardstock and attached on top.

C4e is also sponsoring a new challenge blog this week with a second opportunity to win the teen collection. Hop over to Sunday Sketch & Stamp to see this weeks sketch and the stunning DT cards.
Thanks for stopping by have a great Bank Holiday!!!

Finally!!! I managed to squeeze in a challenge card!! It's been a while since I've had time to enter any challenges and i have missed it!
Saturday sketch #51 is sponsored by "All That Scraps" and are offering a fab prize. Check out the sketch, gorgeous DT cards and prize HERE
I have used Basic Grey papers and a Gorjuss girl image for my card. The paper is more green than brown in real life, don't know why it came out so brown??
The image is coloured with pencils, markers and watercolour paint. I had a go at masking to add the little cat behind the girl.

2 more layouts

This LO uses some beautiful Basic Grey papers I bought a while ago. I have hand sewn flourishes with beads and tried to mirror the fairy fantasy feel of the wedding. This is probably one of the only nice photos I have of my grandmother and me.

The second Layout was for a UKS weekly challenge last month.

I have used MME 29th street papers and die cut. Lots of hand sewing again on this LO.

Loving flowers, buttons and sewing on my cards and LO's at the moment!!
nearly caught up now 1 more LO to share then I am up to date!

The Church

This double page LO was made with the C4E April kit which can be found HERE
These LO's start my pre-wedding album. It's only taken 1 1/2 years to start scrapping my wedding pictures not bad considering I still haven't finished a cross stitch project for my nephew started about 6 years ago, as well as a number of other projects from last year!! LOL I shall have to spend a weekend finishing off these projects.
The LO's used the C4E April scraplift sketch. The 1st LO was also made for a UKS weekly challenge.

The LO's are about the Church we choose to get married in and the lovely Vicar who married us. St nicks church is beautiful and a part of my childhood. I had always planned to get married their. Mikael had a welcoming service at St Nicks with Rev. McLeod too!

Bloomin' LO

This is another catch-up post! This LO was made for the release of the C4E May kit on the 1st of May, if you think that's bad I still have the April kit LO's to post!! LOL!!
The LO is the first of a double LO I am doing inspired by a technique shared by carolinejane on UKS you can see here LO HERE
Pretty much everything on the LO is from the May kit (the chip brackets and pin are not in the kit) The LO has a lot of machine sewing on it and torn edges. This is the first time I've used the sewing machine on a LO and loved it. I've done a bit of hand stitching (still to share!) and faux stitching. The Photo is my youngest son Alixander, enjoying some beautiful flowers in Ashcombe park. I have an identical photo of my eldest for the second page.
The technique I followed involved sewing a double border around the photo, cutting the PP in between and rolling it back to reveal the cs beneath. Well worth a go!!

I covered a Bazzill chipboard ribbon slide (in kit) with some of the pattern paper, inked the edges and added ribbon and no. stickers (not in kit!) The pin is from a ribbon spool , i have added a few extra beads (in kit!) and pinned it to the ribbon.

The flowers took forever!! The 3 flowers have 2 layers each, all 6 flower pieces have been hand sewn with backstitch, edges inked and petals pinched. You can just about see the glitter lace cs flowers underneath which have also been inked slightly.
Back soon with more catch-ups!!!

Catching up...a card for nanny!

I have a lot of catching up to do this week!! I have neglected my blogging something terrible! I will try to keep up now though !! I haven't been very good with challenges either! :( No sympathy it's self inflicted I should be more organised, I don't know how it's happened 3 yrs ago my life was run with military precision! watch this space for a return to that!! lol!!
First of the catch ups, although not in chronological order (don't ask!!??) is this card I made for the boys to give nanny last week. The card features a digital stamp I designed at Easter called "Butterfly Kisses", as yet unreleased I guess I should get it on the website!!
The PP, ribbon and CS are from the C4E May kit Bloomin' lovely. There are a couple left still HERE
I have used the C4E sketch #31 which was a quick sketch to follow. All C4E sketches can be found HERE on the website or HERE on the blog.

I have been making a lot of these flowers recently on LO's and cards.

Thanks for stopping by!

c4e sketch #32

This weeks C4E sketch has been posted today. This week we are asking you to use stitching on your cards too! Real or faux, machine or hand whichever you prefer! Hop over HERE to see the sketch and fab DT cards!

This week I made a card and matching notebook. They are for a special little girl whose birthday I missed last week. She was Mikael's girlfriend for a while!!! LOL but he has moved on now to Lexi!!!

I bought the first set of gorjuss girl stamps from a seller on UKS a couple of weeks ago and haven't got round to using them till this week...OMG!!! so gorjuss!!! LOL My friend and fellow DT member sent me some stamped images from the second set too, so jealous I missed the set again!!

I have coloured this gorjuss girl with pencils.

The stitching is all done by hand and yes it has taken forever to complete this set!! lol The sewn frame technique I have used was shared on UKS on a LO. I have done a LO with this technique (may kit LO to be posted!!)

The Chipboard covers are cut from some packaging that came with a pack of paper.
I decorated all 4 sides of the chipboard covers. The PP is K&co from stash, as is the ribbon.
The inside pages are good quality copy paper with various gorjuss images stamped in one corner. I have left them un-coloured so Lauren can colour them herself.
I will leave you with some detail shots of the card I am loving these flower embellishments at the moment!
Have a great Sunday!

C4E sketch #31

Ok I know!!!...... I haven't posted all week!! I have been busy crafting and have lots to share but time has just run away again and it's Sunday again and time for the C4E sketch challenge!! I will pop back this week with my C4E May challenge makes and some LO's I have done.
You can check out the C4E sketch and DT cards HERE
My card was made for a family member who celebrates his 70th birthday this month. I Made the invites for his celebration a couple of months ago. I have used the same sail boat digital stamp (as yet unreleased!) Coloured using watercolours and H2O's.
I have kept the design clean and simple using few embellishments. The life ring embellishment was made from a circle of card with some Aida thread wrapped around it. The greeting is computer generated.

For this card I decorated the inside of the card too, loosely following the sketch again.

I guess that's all from me Thanks for stopping by!!
