My mum's cousin asked me to make some invites for her husbands 70th birthday in May. The brief was...."very simple and blokey, one image of sailing boat, two colours." She also wrote the text for the inside too.
I decided on a digi stamp design, haven't decided yet whether to add it to the website! Printed off 12 images and painted them with watercolours and silver H2O paint. The image was drawn with the "two colours" in mind so that it was a simple white and blue.
My card batch baking is like how I used to do buffets with my mum years ago, it's a kind of production line. Cut, paint and prepare all the elements then whack them together...LOL!!!
Deciding and drawing the image took longer to do than making the cards!!
So here are the ingredients ready to go....
A few hours later (I had a lot of interruptions!!) This is the result 12 cards completed with printed inserts. I added a small version of the sail boat to the inside too and added a little colour with a pencil.
Michele these are stunning, perfect for a man! And yes you should put the image up for sale.
