Batch baking invites!!

My mum's cousin asked me to make some invites for her husbands 70th birthday in May. The brief was...."very simple and blokey, one image of sailing boat, two colours." She also wrote the text for the inside too.
I decided on a digi stamp design, haven't decided yet whether to add it to the website! Printed off 12 images and painted them with watercolours and silver H2O paint. The image was drawn with the "two colours" in mind so that it was a simple white and blue.
My card batch baking is like how I used to do buffets with my mum years ago, it's a kind of production line. Cut, paint and prepare all the elements then whack them together...LOL!!!
Deciding and drawing the image took longer to do than making the cards!!
So here are the ingredients ready to go....
A few hours later (I had a lot of interruptions!!) This is the result 12 cards completed with printed inserts. I added a small version of the sail boat to the inside too and added a little colour with a pencil.

Now all I have to do is post them!
Thanks for stopping by!!

C4E sketch card #2!!!

Happy Monday!!
I made this card last week for the C4E sketch challenge then realized that there was the additional challenge of yellow and green!!! duh!! Pretty daft considering I set the challenges! In my defense the challenges are set a month ahead!! Any way This card was made for a friends foster daughter who had her first birthday last week, she is an adorable little girl! I had planned to make a really girly baby pink card but somehow the image ended up with more lilac than pink and the card ended up lilac, not a bad thing really as I love lilac!!!
The image is the 2nd of my new Rachelle Anne Miller stamps called "Playtime" Beautiful images!! I have coloured with pencils and added lots of glitter glue. The #1 is a chippy number covered with paper and lashings of glitter glue, cs is bazzill, papers are DCWV from a million years ago!! Ribbon from stash.
The glitter is not clear in the photo as usual so you will have to take my word for it!!! LOL!!

That's it from me, I will be back again with some batch baking invites!!
Have a lovely Monday!

Sunday sketch challenge #25

Sunday is here again and time for a new sketch over on the C4E blog
This week we are setting the additional challenge of using
YELLOW and GREEN
Lovely spring colours.
For my card I have used a Rachelle Anne Miller stamp called "Peek-a-boo" . It's coloured with watercolours and markers. The PP is an old QVC kit , ribbon, brad and blooms from stash.

I think I went a bit made with the glitter glue! It gives the card a pretty twinkle, which is not clear in the photos! I fell in love with the adorable Rachelle Anne Miller stamps!!!

Back again soon with another Rachelle Anne Miller stamped card and a batch bake of invites!

Have a lovely Sunday

C4E Scraplift Challenge

The March scraplift challenge has begun HERE on the C4E website. This is the LO I made for everyone to lift. It's called Cat Nap. The photo's are of my youngest son Alixander when he was very small. Bless him he loved to take his naps in that swing chair!
The papers are the lovely storytime papers from Cosmo Cricket. I covered some chippy letters to match for the title and date.

I made this LO last month but couldn't share till the challenge was posted! I realised after I had photographed it that there is not much embellishment on the LO I might go back and add some ribbon and flowers sometime!
The challenge runs until the end of March so there is plenty of time to join in!
thanks for looking

C4E Mini book challenge

I have made my mini book with my small scallop nestibilities set, my cuttlebug, Bazzill cardstock, some PP, buttons, ribbon and brads from stash. The lilac flowers I cut from left over Bazzill CS and inked the ends. The Chippy letters on the front were covered in the PP.
My mum will not forgive me for sharing these photos!!!! LOL!

I have chosen photos from across the years including some humorous ones!

The quotes are computer generated and cut with a nestie die and my cuttlebug.

I love this photo of mum! It's one from my wedding, she did look pretty! And the one below is her working on her allotment! We get a lot of veg from there!

Sorry mum I couldn't help myself with this one :p!! LOL!!!

C4E Calender chalenge

Over on the Crafts 4 eternity website the March calender sketch is now posted. The sketch is left open for as much or as little embellishment as you like. You also do not have to use a photograph on your pages. All the sketches posted so far can also be found in the C4E library as well as some 2010 calender blanks.
This is my March page. I am not adding photos at this stage as my mum and I are taking photos throughout the year to add to them at Christmas. The finished calenders will be sent as gifts for Christmas.
Unusually for me there isn't much embellishment at all on this months page, I may add some more to it when I add the photo.

The paper is the lovely Storytime paper from Cosmo Cricket. I stamped a little butterfly on the title, I think I put 1 too many!!LOL!!
If you would like to join us for this challenge hop over HERE to see the March challenges.

C4E- Sunday sketch challenge #22

Good Morning!!
Hasn't it been lovely to see the sun this week! Except for one horrible day when the heavens opened and threw freezing sleet on us just as I was picking Mikael up from school, and had to park at the other end of the country!!! We were soaked and frozen to the bone!!! But it has been nice to see the sun and the daffodils.
Well it's Sunday again, funny how there is always a Sunday...LOL!!! and it's time for the C4E Sunday sketch challenge (I really should change the name, it's sooooo long!!).Hop over to the blog to see the sketch and fab DT cards HERE.
I have two cards for you and a sneek peek at two new digital stamps from C4E!!
Why 2 cards?
.... I wanted an image for my in-laws anniversary card, couldn't find one I liked so set about drawing one! I ended up with a cute little giraffe, which my sister named Mabel. 1st card made and when I look at it, it's not quite my in-laws!! So set to drawing another image....Mr & Mrs Owl!! This was in the wee small hours of Saturday morning!!! So I have two cards and two new digital stamps to add to the store!!
Here is the first card with Mabel the giraffe.....
The papers are from Daisy Bucket. Mabel is coloured with pencils, fibre from stash and the #7 is a chippy no. covered with paper.

The 2nd card...this is the one for the in-laws anniversary.

The image is coloured with watercolours. The Papers are really old from Hot of the press! ribbon is the reverse of some WRM ribbon. Buttons and bloom from stash.

Both Digital stamps will be available at the C4E store shortly.
Well I am off to my mums for lunch today, my aunt and uncle are down from Birmingham to visit so roast beef, Christmas pud (yes I did say Christmas pud!!! We had one left from Christmas and saved it for their visit!!!!) then a walk along the prom!! I will be back later with my Saturday sketch and C4E 321 card (it's Mabel again!!)
Have a lovely Sunday

C4E- Sunday sketch challenge #21

It's Sunday again!! Where did the week go? Do you know that there is only about 6 weeks till Easter!!! The year seems to be speeding past!!
Sunday means crafts 4 eternity Sunday sketch challenge (that's a mouthful!! I should change that!!) I have added a new sketch to the C4E blog HERE Hop over and check out the sketch and the lovely cards from the DT, they have done a great job as always!!
Here is my card for this weeks challenge. It's another card for mums birthday.
The PP is from a QVC kit image is gorgeous Tilda (I need more but can't decide which ones!!!lol) ribbon from stash. The lace I found in my recent "spring clean". I have used my nesties and pierced holes with my piercing tool and a needle (for the sentiment!) Tilda is coloured with pencils and markers.

I added some detail to the inside of the card. I printed a poem from the computer adding a flourish background using PSP, You can see the that if you enlarge the picture and the words too! Its a sweet little poem, I love my mum to bits, she is the best!! I am lucky that we are also great friends too!

The card matches the ATC I posted yesterday.
The March challenges, tips and just words will be added over the next week to the C4E website, gab a cuppa and take a look! There is lots of lovely inspiration in the galleries too! Plenty of room for more if you'd like to share!!
