C4E Sunday Sketch Challenge #6

Hello
Well I am still reeling from the lovely comments you left!
Busy afternoon making cards for the C4E Sunday Sketch Challenge.
...and using some scrummy papers I have bought in for the new site!!LOL
DH has been playing with the boys all afternoon, with the train set!! at one point I found Alix asleep, Mikael drawing and DH was still playing with the trains!!lol and no I wasn't quick enough with the camera.
On the subject of cameras... Alix and I went down to the beach to watch the red arrows, fantastic view and you guessed it the camera was sitting at home!!! I did put it ready to put in my bag, but was so rushed that I forgot. I have been kicking myself since, as there was some great shots to be had!!

This is C4E Sunday Sketch#6

Pop over to the C4E blog and join in!

My first card would have been good for the PTW challenge last week too. Inspired by the stitching I got out the new Bazzill In-stitchz templates. I used "bring me flowers" for this card.

The papers are the Birdie bits papers from Dream Street.

The Birdie!!

Hand stitched swirl using the Bazzill template.

I have been thinking about "white space" on cards this week. There has been alot of this technique in scrapbooking lately. I have seen a lot in the mags and on the blogs. So with this in mind I made this card with the sketch.

The sketches I have done for the next few weeks work well with this "white space" technique.

The papers are from Daisy Bucket, Wondrous world. The stamps are also from this collection.

The final card uses the 29th Street Market cardstock from My minds eye. I love the quality and texture this cardstock has.

The photo didn't show the lovely heart gems I added to the stamped flourish so here is a close up!

The stamp used was Dovecraft's Fantasy~emblems

I have used these stamps a lot since I bought them I love the fairy ones!!

So there they are. I will take a look at the PTW challenge tomorrow and try to get it in early! I shocked myself getting my card posted so quick last week.

Thank-you for looking

take care

Lucy ATC

Hello
Wow thanks so much for all the lovely comments left. I have had a fun time visiting everyone and adding you all to my feeds.
I have seen some fantastic blogs this week lots of inspiration. Looks like I am going to have to buy some more stamps! It's my birthday next week, maybe I will treat myself, any suggestions?
I managed to find a couple of minutes to do another ATC with the lovely Daisy Bucket, Playful Petals papers....

This one is called "Lucy" again after one of the papers used.

This week seems to have flown by, the kids are back to school next week. Mikael starts Yr2 on Thursday...can't believe he will be 7 in a couple of months!!

Both the boys have grown over the summer, Alix starts pre-school in January! 3 in February! It's true what they say, you blink and they have grown up. Still I have lots of photos to scrap and some fun projects in mind, if I ever get off this computer...lol

I will be back tomorrow with the C4E Sunday sketch Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by

take care

PTW- A stitch in time

Hello

I haven't had time to enter the PTW challenge for a while now. It's a fab challenge blog and has a huge following.

This weeks challenge, "A Stitch in Time", is to use sewing on your card. You may remember that a few weeks ago I made a card for the C4E challenge using hand stitching for the 1st time...well here it is again.

I would have liked to do a better card with stitching, I have the new Bazzill Basics In Stitchz templates in and I am eager to try them out!lol.

Here is the card...

Not really an exciting design but it worked and the stitching was easier than I thought!!

Card Details

Paper: Shabby Princess, Vintage Floral collection (free download)

Printed greeting, thread from stash.

The flower embelli I made using some flower stencils printed from the computer.

I used to do a lot of cross stitch years back and have a stash of threads, now I have found a use for them there will be no stopping me...that is if I can get of the computer long enough to even sit at the craft table...LOL

Don't forget it is Tuesday Tips over at the C4E Blog

...well it will be there when I finish here...lol

Take care

and

Thanks for loooking!!

Hello
Nice to see you again!
It's Sunday Sketch Challenge at the C4E Blog again.
I was thrilled to use some of the new stock that came in before I went to Cornwall for these. The Daisy Bucket, Playful Petals collection is lovely, really cheerful papers.
Here is the sketch I had to work with...

The card is very 3D, lots of layers. I made my favourite style of embellishment for it, I know I've used it alot recently...lol.

I haven't made any ATC's for a while and I wanted to show that you could use a card sketch for other projects too.

I have called the ATC "Gracy" after the paper I used. I have a few more planned which I will complete later this week, when I get a few spare minutes...lol!!

Take a look at the C4E blog, Tuesday tips will be back again this week and there is lots more planned for the next few weeks.

Thanks for looking

Take care

Back again!!

Hello
We made it through the week, just!! I think we chose the worse week to go camping in Cornwall, wind, rain, mud...yuk!
Yet we had a good time, I couldn't take as many photos as I had planned to so the spare memory card came back un-opened...lol
The tent was still standing at the end of the week and by the last night we had got the gas hooked up to the stove and I could cook us a meal...lol Should have got the pipe connected before we left...lol
The car was fully loaded, the dog had just enough room to curl up in the boot and the suspension didn't collapse. We were very grateful for the electric hook-up and the little fan heater my mum lent us, boy was it cold at night.
I have been camping since I was a little girl, but this was the first time I did it in my own tent. We learnt alot and came back with a list of things to buy for the next time, top of the list is a heater, followed by a warmer sleeping bag...lol
I have a mountain of washing to get through now and pics to upload. The site is almost ready so there is lots to do there.
I will get back to the crafting as soon as I clear my craft room of camping equipment..lol
See you all again soon
Thanks for stopping by...

C4E Sunday Sketch Challenge #4

Hello
I am back again with the C4E Sunday Sketch Challenge. Unfortunately I haven't had time to take part in any challenges myself, I will get back to them later in the month...promise lol
I have been making alot of these 3d embellishments and I wanted a sketch I could use with them. I loved making these cards. They took awhile to complete but I was happy with the finished cards.
Here is this weeks sketch...

Join in with the challenge at the C4E blog

Here are my cards...

This card was made with digi papers. When I first printed them I wasn't too impressed, I didn't think I would use them. The subtle colour and vintage feel worked well with a little distressing and some gold wire. The collection is from Raspberry road and called Faded Memories.

I am a nightmare for lilac and purple these digi papers are from pineapple Plantation called Spring Pansies. The flowers in the collection don't print well but the papers are lovely.

This last card used the stunning papers from My Minds Eye's 29th street collection. The cardstock has a lovely tactile quality to them, good quality and beautiful designs.

In the words of Bugs Bunny...."That's all folks"

Thanks for looking

Take care
