Mixed Media Weaving Card

Good Morning :)
What a change in the weather! The week started hot and sunny and now ends soggy! Not surprised with Glastonbury on this weekend and a huge concert on the beach here too!
I have a card to share today :) Made for the Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge all the details, entry and gorgeous DT inspiration can be found HERE. We have a fab prize from Sassy Studio Design up for grabs!

I have put a step by step tutorial for this card HERE.

My card this week is a mixed media card using paper weaving.

The finished card has a lot of lovely texture.

I used some pattern paper to create a woven background and used, stamping, modelling paste and Dylusions Inks.

I have been playing with some new paints I got, I ordered them to see what they would be like for the Mixed Media kits I am working on. They are fabulous! Viva Decor make a range of gorgeous paints and I have to say I am smitten lol!

The large chipboard cog was coloured with Viva Decor Maya Gold and the smaller black cogs were coloured with Viva Decor Inka Gold both in silver.

Please do check out the Challenge HERE and hop over HERE for the card tutorial.
Have a wonderful weekend

Delicious Recipes Book

Good Morning :)
It's looking like it's going to be a busy weekend here in Weston!
We have our annual air days across the weekend with lots of planes and activities going on in town, and of course it's the C4E all day crop and workshops on Sunday too!
Listen out for us on the Breeze radio (107.7) we have been mentioned the last couple of months!
If you would like to join us the details are all HERE.
So it's Friday today and time for a new challenge on the C4E Recipe Challenge blog, this week we would like you to share project with a ...
FABULOUS FOOD
theme or element.

stamping all day

Our lovely sponsors Stamping All Day are kindly offering one randomly selected winner 3 downloads from their collection.
All the challenge details and entry can be found HERE. While you're there check out the fabulous DT inspiration they are a talented bunch of ladies!

My food themed project today is a recipe book for a swap at the C4E crop.
The swap is on going so I've allowed lots of room for some new recipes to try.

The book is slightly bigger than A5 in size to allow for the A5 size pocket pages inside.
I like my covers to be a little larger than the inside pages.
The papers are an old collection from Basic Grey, I've horded these papers for quite some time lol!
I painted the edges of the chipboard covers with White Crackle Paint. then added the papers on top when it was dry.

The cute cutlery and "Recipes" die cuts were from a lovely lady at the C4E crop.

I still need to add some dividers to the book, but can't decide what sections I want yet!

That's all from me today have a wonderful weekend

Special Dad

Good Morning :)
We have a new challenge today on the Crafts 4 Eternity recipe challenge...

a sketch!

I used the sketch for one of the Father's day cards I need for Sunday.
I turned the sketch on it's side so I could fit the die cut bike on comfortably.

The papers are from a My Minds Eye Now and Then 6x6 pad.

I've added a few stamped ink splats to the background using a Bo Bunny stamp and Chipped Sapphire Distress ink pad.

The lovely bike die cut is also My Minds Eye from a die cut pack.

The sentiment is computer generated and attached with a My Minds Eye brad.

All the challenge details and fabulous DT inspiration can be found HERE.
I'm sponsoring this week and offering one randomly selected winner a choice of 3 digital stamps from the C4E collection.

Have a fabulous weekend I hope the sun shines for you!

HB2U Mixed Media card

Good morning :)
It's Friday and time for a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity.
You can find all the details, entry and gorgeous DT inspiration HERE.

I made a mixed media card for my project this week.

I created a background using die cuts, stamping, modelling paste and ink sprays.

The edges were distressed with scissors, inked and brushed with Gesso.

The lovely image is called "Why Not" and from Crafty Sentiments Designs, our lovely sponsors this week.
 He was coloured with Copics.

I like lots of texture on my projects and the die cuts and modelling paste add lots of it!

The image was placed on top of two pieces of DP from a Bo Bunny Ephemera pack, and a picture wheel from some My Minds Eye paper. The sentiment was computer generated.

Materials used :
Cardstock, DP (Bo Bunny ephemera pack & MME), Dylusions inks, Gesso, stamps (Stampers anonymous), Black Stazon Ink pad, Die cuts (Tim Holtz edgers), image (crafty Sentiments Designs), Copics, Modelling paste, paper clip, Notebook Edger punch.

That's all from me today

have a great day!

Simone layout

Hello :)
I'm back again today to share a layout which was made using this month C4E Mojo Sketch and is the inspiration layout for a new page kit called Simone.

This is the sketch ...

and here is the layout...

The kit includes 3 gorgeous Bo Bunny Primrose papers along with some matching Primrose embellishments.
A Beautiful collection! The Bliss paper was covered with gorgeous butterflies just dying to be fussy cut!

The lovely lady in the photo is my sister, Simone. The photo was taken at my wedding in 2007.
I hope I'm not alone in taking forever to get photos scrapped lol!

I couldn't not cut out those lovely butterflies! I added two sets of three to the layout using 3D sticky fixers and adding just a hint of Stickles ;) really I didn't go that mad with the Stickles (honest!).

I added two sets of flat back gems around the top of the photo, these were created as I went along adding each gem with a little PVA glue and my trusty tweezers.

There is a selection of die cuts from the Primrose collection included in the kit, each kit will vary, I used this gorgeous green rose, I like the colour reversal :)

Finally two pennant flags were added at the bottom of the layout.
The brad is from the Bo Bunny Primrose collection too, there are two in each kit and will vary between kits (they were all gorgeous!)
I made a further two layouts using this collection, if I get my act together I'll make the fourth in the set to complete the layouts of the bridesmaids, and may even get them posted on here lol! So far the other two are very different styles!

Now Let's see mixed media card

Hello :)
I'm a little late with my C4E DT card this week, not unusual lol!
This weeks challenge can be found HERE along with all the gorgeous DT inspiration.
Our challenge this week is a Tic Tac Toe board.
The usual rules apply use any row on your project but not random squares!

Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamps 4 Joy who are kindly offering one randomly selected winner a $10 voucher.

I choose to use Die cuts, Birthday and ribbon for my card.

I used a DS4J image called Now Let's See. She was lovely to colour!
I used Copics to colour her with a little Diamond Stickles to add some twinkle.

I made a mixed media background using die cuts, ink, Gesso and stamping.

There was some Modelling paste added too!

I sat the image on some Cheesecloth and sticky fixers.

The flower is from Petaloo, ribbon, green flower and flower gem were from a Bo Bunny Ephemera pack.
So that's it from me today :)
Thanks for stopping by
Have a great day!
Hugs
