c4e R#31 - Endless Love

Hello everyone :)
Happy Friday!
Wow it's been a hectic week! I am definitely ready for a break!
This weeks C4E Recipe is a Sketch recipe. If you like layers you'll love this sketch!

The DT gallery is chock full of inspiration including submissions from our 3 new DT girls!
This weeks prize is generously donated by The Poodles Parlour.

After all the male cards I have done recently it was lovely to make a very girly card! I threw everything at it lol!
I've used Kaisercraft Lilac avenue DP's. They are just gorgeous!

The image is Endless Love from Delicious Doodles. I've coloured it with pencils for a softer look although the cardstock I printed on wasn't too keen on them :(  and the photo doesn't capture the twinkly Stickles :(

Gorgeous flowers and lace from Wild orchid Crafts, MS punches (butterflies and Fond branch) and lots of Stickles finish off this card.
Thanks for stopping by
Have a great weekend!

Treasured Photo

 Hello everyone :)
Last month I entered the UK Scrappers House challenge with this layout.
The challenge was to use a photo that was not perfect, one that you would probably not normally scrap. There was also a sketch to follow which I squished up to fit on to a 8.5 x 11" layout.

My mum recently bought a fab new gadget. It scans old negatives and slides, they can then be saved as .jpeg images ready for printing. My mum has always been a keen photographer and took lots of pictures of us as we grew up.
The focus of the layout is about having this opportunity to see these old photos and remember my childhood.

The layout has a very 70's feel with these gorgeous DP's from Crate Paper and My Minds Eye.
I have used the Martha Stewart punch Doily lace, and machine stitched around all the pieces.

I seem to have a thing about butterflies at the moment lol! they keep appearing on all my projects!

I have added lots of Stickles to highlight the fabulous patterns on the paper and of course the butterflies.

And this is the photo my sister and I in the late 70's about 1978. I'm the one at the front ;)
Have a good day thanks for stopping by

Teacher gifts & cards

Good morning!
You may need some sunglasses for this post lol! These sweetie gifts really were very bright!
I had a few teacher gifts and cards to make for the end of term and although I had made one card I left it far too late to do lots of different cards so one design repeated several times was the simplest solution.

For the sweetie boxes I made a simple open box and filled it with Lemon sherbets and Chocolate lime sweets. I then wrapped some bright yellow and green net around the box.
For the tags I designed a set of round tags and papers. These were punched and die cut the pieces then attacked them with Stickles lol!

For the cards I used some gorgeous Crate Paper DP.
I kept to a simple design using different shapes and layers and again lots of Stickles!

Have a great day!
