Mixed Media Metal Card

Good Morning :)
We have a new challenge today at Crafts 4 Eternity....METAL!
We would like you to share any project with a metal element or theme.

stamping all day

Our lovely sponsors this week are Stamping All Day who are kindly offering one randomly selected winner 3 downloads from their fabulous collection.
As always there is gorgeous inspiration from the lovely DT ladies too!
Join us HERE for the challenge and share your metal projects with us!

My card this week is a mixed media Father's Day card.
I used some DP scraps layered on to a piece of a piece of MME Now and Then paper from a 6x6" paper pad.

I then added modelling paste through a stencil (stacked triangles - Crafters Workshop)

I added some colour with Distress inks and then created the metal focal point.

The metal focal point is a mix of old watch parts, paper clip, old washers, a Tim Holtz clock, ball chain and some string.

To finish I added a few beads and some silver glass fragments from Prima.
The card turned out to be quite heavy but stands ok :)
Over to you now :) Dig out those metal bits and bobs and create a project to share with us at C4E!
Have a wonderful weekend, thanks for stopping by :)

Father's Day Cards

Good Morning :)
Another sunshine day here in somerset :)
Today we have a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity, this week we would like you to share your dad or male themed cards.
Our lovely sponsors The Stamping Boutique are kindly offering one randomly selected winner 2 images from their fabulous collection!
And of course there is gorgeous inspiration from the fabulously talented design team!
Join us HERE for all the details, entry and inspiration.

I have made 2 cards this week using the same technique  but with slight variation in colour and a little extra stamping.

For both cards I placed Tim Holtz alpha masks on to water colour paper then smooched Distress ink over them, with a few extra flicks of ink from a paintbrush.

When the ink was dry I outlined the letters with a black pen, added a rough border in black pen and finished off with a few sequins.

For the second card I stamped with a script stamp and Dove Grey Stazon ink before smooching the ink over the masks. It was finished in the same way as the first card.

Two quick Father's day cards using one of my favourite inky techniques.
I still need to make one more card so the boys have one each to give their dad (one of these will go to my Father-in -law).
That's it from me today, Weston will be busy this weekend with lots of aircraft flying around! We have our annual Air Days this weekend, I looking forward to the Red Arrows!
Have a lovely weekend, thanks for stopping by

CAS Mixed Media Card

Good Morning :)
Today we have a new challenge on the  C4E Recipe Challenge blog
This weeks challenge is Black and White and our lovely sponsors are Sassy Studio Designs.
There is gorgeous inspiration from the fabulously talented design team too!
All the details, entry and fabulous DT inspiration can be found HERE.

I'm not sure if CAS mixed media is the correct term to use for this card lol!
I wanted a clean and simple design but I also wanted to use mixed media too!

I stamped and heat embossed the gorgeous bird stamp from Stampers Anonymous using white embossing powder. I then added black watercolour paints around it with a few flicks of paint too.
There is a little silver paint flicked on top before adding some Prima Art Glass and sequins.

At the top of the card I added two pieces of washi tape and a few more sequins.
So CAS mixed media? what do you think can the two work together?

Thanks for stopping by have a great weekend

Mixed Media Birthday Card

Good Morning :)
It's been a while since I've been able to make a DT project for the C4E Recipe Challenge but this week I found some time to make a quick mixed media birthday card :)
Our challenge theme this week is BIRTHDAY.
We would like you to share your Birthday themed projects with us for a chance to win 3 digital stamps from Crafts 4 Eternity.
There is gorgeous DT inspiration to see too!
All the challenge details, DT inspiration and entry can be found HERE.

The background was created with Distress ink pads, Maya Gold paint and an ATC background stamp.

I mixed some brown paint and glitter in to some Modelling paste and added it to the background with a bubble stencil. It has a lovely sandy sparkle :)

The bird stamp is from Stampers Anonymous.
To finish I stamped a birthday greeting and added a few gold sequins.

Apart from drying time this was a quick card to make :)
Please do join us for this weeks challenge we all love to see your fabulous creations!
Thanks for stopping by have a lovely weekend :)
Hugs
