Happy Halloween and Mikael's birthday cards!

Hi, Happy Halloween!!! We are off to my mum's tonight for a Halloween Tea. Mum loves Halloween, she buys or grows the pumpkins for the kids to carve, I usually end up with the yukky job of scraping them out...nice!!! This year she is expecting us ALL to dress up, not sure Clive likes that idea...lol!!!
I have Mikael's Birthday cards to share today, a bit late but it was really hectic last week, I finished the last card about 2am on the morning of his birthday!!
I made 3 cards for him this year. My mum couldn't find a card with Pokemon, grandson and 7 on it so I offered to make one for her. I make all her cards except for me and my boys!! The second was for Alix to give his brother, just loved the William stamp! And the last one was from his dad and I I have used this sk8r boy stamp a lot over the last month and each time it has been different. I made one with Halloween papers (skulls!) which I sent to Mikael's friend without taking a photo...duh!!
Anyway enough waffle here are the cards...

Bulbasaur was hand drawn and painted with H2o's.

There is some hand stitching on this card, I used a In Stitchz template for the #7.

Thanks for stopping by have a great Halloween

Pretty in pink

Hi, it's been a hectic couple of weeks!!

Mikael had his birthday on Saturday, 2hours of chaos from 18 kids aged 2-7 years, mostly boys!!!! It was loud and lots of fun!!

With all the party preparation I had a few girlie cards to make, a nice change from Pokemon!!!

The first card was for a friend of my mums who has had a stroke recently.

The second card was for my cousins birthday. I wasn't happy with this card because it seemed too young for her, I think it would have suited my niece better who is 3 next week!

The third card was for my best friend. I made the card, took the photo then realised that I had forgotten to put a special friend greeting on it...whooops!!!lol so off came the flower and I wrote on the card, nope my handwriting is really not that good, next idea.... add a stamped tag to the flower and put the flower back on the card!!

You can still see the writing underneath if you move the flower but hopefully she won't look too closely!!!lol

A little girlie mixed in with all the boy!! bliss....

C4E Design Team Call

Hi

Hope you all had a fab weekend, thank-you for the lovely comments.

This weeks challenge at the Crafts 4 Eternity blog is a Design Team call! If you fancy becoming an Eternity girl/boy then here's what you have to do....

The theme is "ETERNITY"

The definition of eternity is...
eternity, eternities 1. (noun) Eternity is a time without end, or a state of existing outside time, especially the state some people believe they will pass into when they die.
2. An eternity is also a period of time which seems to go on for ever, e.g. This winter seems to have lasted an eternity!

Projects could simply include the word eternity, or you could go a little deeper and create a LO about your faith. It could be about eternal love, marriage. Time passing?

There is no limit to how many projects you submit, and they can include ATC's, cards, LO's, altered art, digital art...anything goes!!!
visit Crafts 4 Eternity HERE and leave a comment with a link to your project,
(you can email a picture if you don't have a blog).
All entries need to be in by 31st October, the team will be announced 2nd November.

The team picked there will also be asked to make projects for the C4E website, which will include the occasional kit to play with!!
I will add some examples later in the week.
I have a few cards and a new LO to post and of course some 'eternity' projects! So I will be back again soon
Thanks for stopping by, have fun!!

magnolia & friends ATC challenge

Hello
This is the first time I have had a go at the Magnolia and friends ATC challenge. I have been meaning to join in for a few weeks now but just haven't had the time, which is daft as ATC's are quicker than cards (usually...lol!!!). I am VERY VERY late with this it is due tomorrow/today (it's nearly 2am!!!)
This weeks challenge is to wrap something around your ATC, ribbon, wire, wool etc. My first attempt was ok, but I had another in mind when I saw the challenge. In issue 48 of Simply cards and papercraft there was a project for a Jacobs Ladder mini album. I thought this was a fab idea, and with the ribbon wrapping around the pages I thought it would suit this challenge.
So tonight I put a fab film "No Reservations" on the laptop, moved the laptop to my craft table and got making. I thought I was going to be tangled in ribbon and get it all twisted and wrong...but...it worked!!!!lol. so here they are....

Materials for ATC#1 are all from stash. I was going to use this Tilda for the Mellow Yellow challenge at PTW but put green on her so she wasn't all yellow...whooops!!!LOL

This is the front of the Jacobs ladder ATC, I added some extra wrapped ribbon for good measure! And when you open it out....

You find Tilda and Maggie!!!

The Paper I used for this is the Monkey Love digi kit, link at the bottom of the sidebar. I coloured Tilda and Maggie with pencils and H2O's.

Well I am off to add my link to the challenge blog now and then off to bed.

Thanks for looking

Good night

PTW-Katharina sketch#12

Hello
How has your weekend been? The weather here has been pretty wet and cold.
I spent most of today playing with Paintshop Pro making a new background and banner for this blog. It took awhile but, I think it worked ok!!
Since having the lurgy it's been a week of catching up and trying to get ahead a little, not doing so well on getting ahead, but have caught up, I think...lol!!!
This weeks PTW challenge was another fab sketch from Katharina, check it out HERE
Here is my take on the sketch...

Materials

Stamp~SK8r boy from Sugar Nellie coloured with H2O's and whispers markers.

PP~In the Meadow, Daisy Bucket

Ribbon~ reverse side of WRM urban window

His top is really brown, but for some reason the photo is showing it as a purple colour...lol!!

You can just about see the twinkle on his skateboard, i hadn't meant the skateboard to twinkle, just didn't clean my brush properly....lol!! Some mistakes are good ones!!

Next on the list is a try at the Magnolia and friends ATC challenge. I have done one, but I had another idea, so I am going to see if I can get that done before I post it.

Busy week ahead, lots of things to do, new blog to get going as AOL are closing down the journals there so I have had to move it over here, not a bad thing, just more work to do setting it up. The link will be in the blog roll...eventually lol!!!

Hope you have a good week

Thanks for looking

Take care

SSC#10

Hello
It is Sunday Sketch time at Crafts 4 Eternity again. Click HERE to see this weeks sketch.
It was my 1st wedding anniversary last Monday (29/09) so there is an added challenge to make anniversary themed projects this week.
I thought I would use the colours from my wedding for my card I got a bit carried away with the In Stitch templates with this one...lol!!! I challenged myself not to use pattern paper on this card too!! I couldn't quite leave it plain...lol!! The written greeting didn't quite turn out how I wanted so I wasn't thrilled with this card, see what you think....

The second card for the challenge I got out lovely Tilda. I have coloured her with H2O's in lovely autumnal colours. The PP is another free digi download from Shabby Princess called "Harvest Spice" you can download this lovely kit from their site HERE

These Tilda stamps and H2O's are really addictive, I don't know how I will keep up with all these lovely addictions...lol!!
I had better start making some Christmas cards soon! I don't want the rush I had last year, I made so many projects last year it got a bit manic! And there are so many other projects waiting to be finished or started...if only we didn't have to sleep...lol!!!!

Thank-you for looking!!

Take care

PTW-mellow yellow

Hello
PTW have been doing a charity challenge. The challenge is to make yellow cards A6 size to send in to them. These will then be sent to Quick Cards Made Easy, to make a giant Pudsey bear card. Sounds like a fab way to raise money for Children in need. The cards need to be sent before Monday October 6th (hopefully mine will arrive in time!)
Here is the card I have sent...

All materials from stash.

I am really late with this one due to the lurgy!! Fingers crossed it gets there in time!!!

Thanks for looking

Take care
