Great Britain art journal page

Good morning :)
I am sharing an Art Journal page created for this weeks C4E recipe challenge today.
The challenge this week is Best of British, any project with a British theme, all the details can be found HERE.

I adhered Tim Holtz Lattice edger die cut chipboard to a page then painted the whole piece with Gesso.

The inner waste pieces from the die cut were added to the opposite side.

The page was then stamped with Stampers Anonymous alphabet and number stamp using black Stazon  ink.

I then coloured the page using Dylusions Inks.

a little more Gesso was added to keep the red, white and blue design.

I then added modelling paste using a Dylusions stencil (diamond border)

Finally I added the title using die cut alphas (Die-versions), which were outlined in a fine black pen.
A fairly quick page with the focus on the colour rather than words.

If you would like to see more fabulous inspiration head over to the C4E challenge blog to see the gorgeous DT inspiration!

Mixed Media card for C4E recipe challenge

Hello :)
What a lovely weekend it has been here in somerset! I hope you got to enjoy some sunshine too!
I have my DT card to share today, It's a little late this week I got caught up with preperations for the monthly C4E crop yesterday.
The challenge details and all the gorgeous DT inspiration can be found HERE.
The challenge this week was to use die cuts or die cutting on your project.
I came across THIS fantastic mixed media video and had to have a go!
I've used the techniques before for various projects but it was the Clear Gesso I have never tried before, it is fabulous! I love how quick it dries and how it dries clear so you can see as much or as little of the pattern as you like. If you haven't tried Clear Gesso I really recommend it! I got mine from the Range, Windsor and Newton 225ml for £8.99.

Materials used :
die cut chipboard Trellis (Tim Holtz edge die)
Flower ( Petaloo)
Pattern Paper (My Minds Eye)
A6 card base
Dylusions ink sprays ( Crushed Grape and Bubblegum Pink)
White and Clear Gesso
Perfect Pearls Mists (Inference Red and Violet)
Die cut Feathers (Spellbinders)
Lace (Stash)
Stamp (Indigo Blu Script)
Stazon Black ink pad
Wood veneer word (Trimcraft)
Stencil ( Dylusions diamond border)
Modelling paste
Viva Maya Gold (Magenta and lilac)

Mixed Media Card

Good Morning :)
Woohoo! not only is it the end of the week it's a bank holiday weekend too! Fingers crossed the weather is nice, I have no plans to go out I have loads to catch up on at home.
So it's Friday and that means time for a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity, this weeks challenge is ...

STAMP IT

We would like you to share projects that feature stamping.
Our lovely sponsors this week are Stamping All Day have kindly donated 3 downloads for one randomly selected winner.

I have used  a variety of my favourite stamps for my card this week, Stampers Anonymous, Bo Bunny and Indigo Blu.
The card was stamped firstly with Stazon Ink pads, then coloured with Distress ink pads and a blending tool.

I've used a hot glue gun to add some dimension which was painted with Silver acrylic paint.

I flicked some silver mixative alcohol ink over the piece before adding the embellishments.

The gorgeous blue beads were a charity shop find, they were on a necklace....until I got it home lol!
I added a piece of cheese cloth and some small silver beads along with the gorgeous blue beads to finish off the card.

Hop over HERE to join us and see what the fabulous design team have been up to!
Have a wonderful weekend
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs
