C4E Recipe #30 - Random Recipe

 Hello :)

I don't know what has happened to the last couple of weeks! I've totally missed last weeks challenge with crop prep & end of term things there just wasn't enough time. 

This weeks challenge is Anything but a card. We have a fab prize up for grabs from Whoopsie Daisy Digital stamps and of course the fabulous DT gallery. sadly we are saying good-bye to Suzette this week and our July GDT Brenda. It has been fabulous working with both these talented ladies :)

 My project this week is a Mixed Media Canvas. I made this canvas for the C4E June Crop workshop.

It was so much fun! I am really getting into the collage/art journal style!

I have used free collage images from the Internet, mostly from The Graphics Fairy.

Other materials used are Distress Inks, Crackle Paint, Acrylic paint, glossy accents, beads, feathers, and wire.

C4E Recipe #28 - Embellishment Recipe

Hello :)

Happy Friday! Have you got anything planned for the weekend? I'm hoping for a quite one with plenty of crafting lol!

We have a fab new challenge for you over on the C4E blog this week we would like you to use the 3-2-1 recipe.

I had real trouble wording this on the challenge post lol! So I'll just repeat my poor effort....

3 of something, 2 of something and 1 something!

I think someone stole my literacy skills while I was sleeping lol!

There is gorgeous inspiration from the super talented design team including our GDTeamie Brenda.

For some reason I had convinced myself I had lots of teacher thank-you cards to make this year, and as usual had not started! With this in mind I have made the first one.

I have used MME Remember Roses paper from the Stella and Rose collection. I have inked the bias binding and doily with Cloudy blue alcohol ink. The doily and DP had a generous spritz of glimmer mist, sadly I didn't capture the glimmer in the photos, it was all I could do to take the photo before the wind blew the card away lol!

My 3-2-1 is 3 Butterflies, 2 pins and 1 Rosette flower.

So a few more cards to do before next Friday when the boys break up for the holidays.

C4E Recipe #27 - Colour Recipe

Hello everyone :)

Sorry to be late with this weeks challenge post. We've had a busy weekend with birthday outings and visitors, it has been lovely though :) We had T4 here yesterday too! The town was buzzing lol! 

 This weeks C4E Recipe is a colour recipe and we would like you to use the picture above as inspiration for your projects. The image is from a fabulous website www.dukeofwellingtons.com they have some gorgeous wellies lol!

This week we are sponsored by Stamping all day who are offering a fabulous prize! 

There is lots of inspiration from the DT too! The DT call is now closed so I have a busy week ahead choosing new teamies!

 My card this week uses  sketch from Sketch and Stash and a cute Stampavie image -  Mouse in Hammock. I was sure I'd used the stamp before but I can't find any pictures of cards using it! 

I have coloured with Distress inks (Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and weathered wood )

 The flowers are from wild orchid and the leaves are Martha Stewart Fond Branch punch.

The DP's are Basic Grey Wisteria from my stash.

I have added lots of Diamond Stickles to finish the card.

C4E Recipe #26 - Sketch recipe

Hello everyone :)

I hope you are enjoying this lovely sunny weekend!

Sorry I'm a little late with this weeks challenge post life just got in the way this week lol!

 This weeks recipe is a sketch. We have a gorgeous DT gallery and fab prize up for grabs.

 This weeks card is another male one, I seem to be making a lot of male cards and LO's at the moment.

The papers are Crate Paper available from the C4E Store.

 The image if from LOTV coloured with Distress inks. I'm a bit out of practise with my colouring :( Still not sure about blonde hair lol!

I have a huge pile of ironing staring at me so I'd best get on with that this afternoon!
